I was just talking about acid rain and pollution to a friend on AIM and remembered when I was in first grade and started a group called “pollution solution” where we would clean up cans and stuff during recess every day.
As you can already foresee, five- and six-year-olds do not want to spend their entire lunch time picking up trash so my group eventually broke up. But there was another girl that started a competing group with the same purpose. I hated this girl for taking away my idea and she eventually took all my members too. I think this is when I realized that I would never be a good leader and gave up on that front.
