My foster puppy got adopted within an 20 minutes of me bringing her back to the shelter! And I got to meet the lovely family (with 3 kids) that are going to be taking care of her (hopefully forever).
As I was bringing in my foster puppy to get her shots at the shelter, another one of the volunteers came back looking for a “corgi mix named Peanut” because a family had seen her online and wanted to look at her. After a ton of problems (heartworm positive, UTI, etc) they decided to adopt her mostly because of what I put on her kennel card (she’s very good with kids, even when they’re climbing on top of her and she tolerates other animals as long as they don’t get in her face). So knowing that gave my heart the warm & fuzzies. Plus, she looks so great in a t-shirt. I only wish that I had given them my contact info so they can tell me how she’s doing, but I think she’ll be okay.
